Education Tax Refund

Independent Students can also claim the Education Tax Refund (ETR), along with Mums and Dads who get FTA.

We have found that refugees studying English as a second language (ESL) also qualify as they are studying a secondary school subject.

The ETR started in July 2008 and we can claim from then onwards.

Claims are for things like computers, internet costs, text books and stationary etc.

As from 1 July 2011, you can also claim for school uniforms, sports uniforms as well.
